Native American Totem – Beaver

beaver Native American Totem BeaverThe Frogs Return Moon falls from April 20 to May 20 and  is the second moon of Wabun (Golden Eagle). Wabun is the Spirit Keeper of the East on the Native American Medicine Wheel. The mineral totem for this  moon is the chrysocolla, the plant totem  is the blue camas, and the animal totem  is the beaver. The color is blue and the element is earth. The elemental clan is that of Turtle.  (Some tribes use the mineral jasper, wild clover as the plant and yellow as the color. You will instinctively know which is right for you.)

The chrysocolla teaches people in this position learn to balance the earth and sky within themselves. The blue camas teaches them to sustain themselves and others.  Beaver teaches people to make all environments as pleasant as possible. People born under the Frogs Return Moon learn about stability, and the value of hard work, luck, and their ability to create and maintain an orderly and beautiful environment. The Frogs Return Moon teaches  about perseverance, patience, stability, and practicality.  People born into this position need to guard against being too stubborn, overindulging, and holding back all their feelings.

Blue Camas is good  for creating movement where there is stagnation, for providing sustenance, and for teaching discrimination an all levels of life.

Chrysocolla is a stone of good medicine that can bring good health and luck to the person wearing it. This mineral helps purify the heart, mind, and your spirit. It helps to balance, ground, and have an overall sense of well being and strength. It is a stone that promotes a feeling of peacefulness and stability giving you a stronger sense of your connection with the earth.
