The Budding Trees Moon falls between March 21 and April 19. The first moon of Wabun (Golden Eagle) which is the Spirit Keeper of the East. It occurs at the time of the spring equinox position on the Native American Medicine Wheel. Your mineral totem for the Budding Trees Moon is the fire opal, your plant totem is the dandelion, and your animal totem is the red-tailed hawk. The color is yellow. Your element is fire and you belong to the Thunderbird clan.
The fire opal teaches people about the need for water (the emotions) in easing their fiery energy. The dandelion shows people the advantages of taking root as well as flying. The red hawk demonstrates the joy of freedom and of a long, clear view. The Budding Trees Moon teaches about energy, intensity, precipitating change, fearlessness, and optimism. Being born in this position teaches you about leadership ability, the vastness of your own spirit, and the degree of your clear-sightedness. People born under the Budding Trees Moon need to learn to channel their energies, contain their emotions, and be more patient with others.
Red hawk teaches you about adaptability, flying, survival, far-and clear-sightedness, prayer, leadership, deliberation, optimism, intensity, and openness.
Dandelion reminds you of the necessity of exploration and experimentation in life. It can also show you the beauty of various stages of growth.

Oh dear Lord thank you!!!
I just experienced the most amazing thing! I live at Lake Tahoe, I was just outside standing looking up at the sky praying for “mass awareness” and this hawk came up behind me and flew right over my head (felt like it touched my hat) and landed about 25ft in front of me. I was frozen there, I literally could not move! We stared at each other for a few seconds then he/she flew off into the forest!!! What a beautiful gift this was/is. Your site was the first one that popped up, thank you for the information. It makes crazy sense!(; tahoeshannie✌️
Our home is called “Hawk’s Nest” so my son will appreciate learning that this is his totem. He is fiery and certainly could learn control of his emotions.
A red tailed hawk flew over my head as I was sitting in my wooded backyard with my 2 huskies. It then circled back and sat in the chair across from me about fifteen feet away it was amazing! I have a family issue to deal with this upcoming weekend and I think my plan has been accepted with this good omen!!
This is so cool! I can’t wait til you get to mine! I love the Native American Totems information. I think it will help some of us better understand ourselves and the people we interact with.

The Red Tailed Hawk is one of the most majestic creatures to take flight. There is nothing more honest and genuine in nature than a hawk on the hunt.
Awesome!
