September Teaches To Live The Truth

The moon of September calls upon Setting Sun Woman to teach us to “Live The Truth”. The ninth of the The Thirteen Original Clan Mothers, Setting Sun Woman is the Keeper of Tomorrow’s Dreams and Goals. How appropriate for me to reflect on as that new little granddaughter that I have been looking forward to arrived under this special moon. A few weeks ago, I talked about the importance of seeing to the next seven generations and little McKenna was born under the influence of Setting Sun Woman who is the Guardian of the Needs of the Next Seven Generations.

On our Sacred Path Journey, this mother is the one who teaches the proper use of “will”. We learn the suitable way to apply our will to live, our will to survive, and our will power from Setting Sun Woman. In learning these lessons we begin to make certain that our intents are to provide for future generations.

This mother of the September Moon is the Keeper of Mother Earth’s resources and the Guardian of preservation. She teaches us how to preserve and use our natural resources without wasting anything.

While teaching us to “Live The Truth”, Setting Sun Woman helps us to prepare for our tomorrows by planning today. We learn to make goals and then meet those goals.

This sacred Clan Mother of the ancient times shows us how to show concern for others, to be dependable and compassionate in the way we walk in our journey.

In our home, we are celebrating the arrival of a new generation and I can’t help but be moved by the message from Setting Sun Woman to Live The Truth. How appropriate that it comes for the month of this child’s birth. My promise to this little one is to be mindful of these medicines as I help nurture her growth.

  1. This is also very appropriate in the changing of the seasons. I noticed this too, as a time when I am watching both of my children going to the next stage in their growth, the younger into high school, and the older into college. They are becoming young adults, and it is really noticeable.
